Post #5-The Ethical Dilemma of Nestlé Water

What I suggest that Nestlé/BlueTriton should do is to reduce the use of water, or maybe reduce the production of mineral water. On the other hand, it is also possible to recycle in plastic buckets, and improve the use of filtered water, and the production of living distilled water, in a different direction to living drinking water. While companies will spend more because of the change in direction, it will allow companies to become more ethical over time.  https://www.latimes.com/environment/story/2022-01-20/environmentalists-fight-to-shut-down-bottled-water-operation      The moral framework behind such reasoning is virtue , because as a large multinational corporation, and it has been around for many years, a lot of things don't change in an instant. Therefore, companies should focus on long term character development, in other words, companies should gradually improve those unethical past, starting with small changes, and finally changing the e...

By reading other sources, in news reports, many community residents said that water needs to be protected and that Nestlé/BlueTriton was operated without manufacturing and for many years. This also extends to people saying that Nestlé/BlueTriton is stealing water when they act. Others say the water from the national forest should be for the people and animals that live there, not for profit. Separately, the non-profit environmental advocacy group Earth Island Institute has filed suit against Nestlé/BlueTriton, alleging that their mass-produced plastic bottles pollute waters. https://couragecalifornia.org/stop-nestle-and-bluetriton-california-water/      These are all from interviews with local residents, non-profit environmental organizations, and news reports. I think from the perspective of local residents, when they see the rivers, waters, and ecosystems they are familiar with, because a company is constantly being destroyed for profit, it is a very...

Post #3-The Ethical Dilemma of Nestlé Water

Although the company states: "We do not compete with municipalities for water. EVER. And we do not privatize public water supplies" (BlueTriton, 2021). Nestlé/BlueTriton insists its companies have done nothing wrong and call themselves the environment good managers. Although BlueTriton states on the company's website that they rigorously test for a variety of environmental factors, and analyze and assess habitat, water levels, flow and abstraction. However, according to the reaction of local residents and news reports. Nestle/BlueTriton is not a reasonable transfer of mining as stated on the company's website. On the contrary, the company is still carrying out over-mining under the opposition of local residents. The graph below shows that surface water flow has decreased significantly as the company drained the excess flow.      https://www.latimes.com/environment/story/2022-01-20/environmentalists-fight-to-shut-down-bottled-water-operation  ...

After browsing the web site of Nestlé Waters North America (BlueTriton Brands), the company is part of the Nestlé Waters North America business unit. Founded in 1976, in the United States, Nestle/BlueTriton owns a well-known brand in North America. These include Arrowhead, Deer Park, Ice Mountain, Poland Spring, Pure Life, Zephyrhills and many more. Nestlé/BlueTriton noted that the company is committed to environmentally sustainable water management and helps ensure the well-being of people and the long-term prosperity of local communities. As shown in the following video (Provide by Nestlé/BlueTriton official account), the company focuses on the sustainable use of water resources and contributes to the community and the environment.      Coincidentally, Nestlé/BlueTriton has similar violations in many states, "[a]s for the amount of water the company bottles each year, it barely registers in the scope of what's used in the state each year". (Boyce, 20...

In recent years, Nestlé’s ethical situation or ethical dilemma has emerged one after another, such as the unethical promotion of formula milk powder, excessive exploitation of water resources resulting in local drought or water shortage, or the huge problem of additives in food safety. Hundreds of thousands people suffered. There are also many unethical reports about Nestlé's news, and in this blog, the ethical situation and ethical dilemmas of Nestlé water will be explained.      The issue of water resources has a huge impact and controversy in the world. In the United States, Nestlé/BlueTriton owns a well-known brand in North America. These include Arrowhead, Deer Park, Ice Mountain, Poland Spring, Pure Life, Zephyrhills and many more. In California, the continued extraction, diversion, and use of these water resources from California forests exacerbates conditions in California during droughts. These include noting that Nestlé's continued water div...
